St. Paul's Church School

Church School presents a variety of offerings for all ages.

Jesus Christ calls His community to work together cooperatively and lovingly. St. Paul's Church School puts this into action, and models it.

St. Paul's Church School Is:
  • A Welcoming Church Family
  • Caring, Experienced Staff
  • Focused on Faith-Based Activities
  • A Place to Make New Friends
  • An Opportunity to Make Lifetime Memories

Participants respond by treating one another with respect, loving humor, and kindness. Arriving parents see this in action: the Church School morning begins with all-ages playtime in the Nursery, supervised by volunteer staff.

Sunday 9:45 a.m. Nursery. Children are always welcome at all worship services at St. Paul's; a roomy, carpeted Family Pew is conveniently furnished with comfy chairs, snuggly stuffed animals, quiet toys, books, and puzzles.

Some parents and grandparents prefer to leave their younger children and infants in the loving care of the Nursery, centrally located upstairs adjoining the worship and classroom areas. The nursery is staffed by Jill and Jenna McCarthy.

Sunday 9:45 a.m. Church School. After an energetic, all-ages playtime, Sunday Church School for children and youth starts with a worship service and offering in the Church School Chapel (upstairs).

Classroom and group activities are concluded in time for children to join the worship service for Communion, or a blessing at the altar rail.

Occasionally, the Church School Choir sings at the 10:00 a.m. Service. The children and youth also participate in the Annual Christmas Pageant and the Setting of the Creche.

The worship service dismisses to Coffee Hour, which includes free (supervised) playtime in the enormous Parish House, or on the adjoining church lawn.

Youth Group. Youth at St. Paul's are served by the Rector's evening class, "Encounters with Jesus," as well as acolyte training and rehearsals. Youth are also active as appropriate in Sunday children's Church School classes, with adult supervision.

Additional mission activities are planned periodically throughout the year by and for the Youth Group.

Adult Christian Education. Weekday Bible Studies, the periodic Rector's Forum, and annual Inquirer's Classes are offered to assist parishioners to live more fully as Christ calls us to live.
